The Cutest Things about Kids!!
It's amazing how kids act. One minute I have two very good boys, then the next one is screaming at the other.
The boys love each other, oh, I love the way Damien takes care of his little brother. Always wants him to sit on his lap, hugs him when he's hurt, I just wish it would last forever!
But then.... You hear.... "You don't tell me what to do!" and "Yes I do!"
"No, Don't bite me, Christopher, stop!" Meanwhile, Christopher's chompers are ready and aiming. Can you tell who the bully is?
But the things they say are funny too! Last week, the boys were in the kitchen while I was getting ready for work. I really couldn't hear what they were saying, but could hear them. Christopher was talking and then I hear Damien say "Ooooohhhhh, you said a bad woooorrrrdddd!" "No, I did not!" "Yes you diiiiiiidddd! Mommmmmmmyyyyyyy! Christopher said a bad word." So I go in there, to find out what happened. Damien again said "he said a bad word" and when I asked which one, he looked at me all puzzled.
But then he said " F - O - M - O -N!" He looked at me so seriously when he said this, as if he knew he was spelling a bad word. All I could do was tell him that he was a good boy for not saying it, and for catching the fact that Christopher said a bad word. He hears us spell words all the time, to prevent the kids from knowing what we say. Course, the girls can spell now! But Damien knew that he was not supposed to repeat the bad word, and spelled it (who knows what the word was, but I think you understand what I mean.)
The other thing is, that Damien talks about going to school all the time. "When i am five, i go to school, and ms murphy will be my teacher, and i ride the bus like the gurls." Ms Murphy is Alannah's teacher. He knows he is only three, but I have told him several times that he has to be five in order to go to school. He remembers that. He has quite a memory, and learning capability. What other three year old can name cars? The VW bug, is a fun car! All vans are vans not SUV's, he will correct you. He knows the difference between a truck and a SUV too. Please don't get them wrong either!!! These are simple things, but when it comes to sports cars.....
He knows what a Mustang is, even though Ken and I call them Rustangs. Camaro's he knows those, and Porsche's... those too! And the best.... Corvette, Ken calls them a sexy ride, so Damien calls them Sexy! It's not a vette, it's a Sexy!
He remembers what kind of car people drive. Christine drives a CRV, we saw one at a friends house, and he said that they have two cars like Aunt Teen's car. Grampa drives a Vue, knows how to pick them out of a crowd. Maureen drives a Neon, granted those are called fun cars, but Mo's is a dark purple as opposed to Miss Mary drives a bright purple one. He knows the difference. Ken's boss drives a Cavalier, and every Cavalier, "that looks like Rebeca's car." Now that we have a Suburban, he can spot them, and will still spot vans like the Villager, and state " that van like my van that died."
It's amazing how kids' brains work!
